Some video from Rutland - 2/10/2010

Post by Ru88ell »

I'm very grateful to Mac Miller for allowing me to try out his wonderful CC19, Watercolour 2 yesterday at Rutland. I managed to take some HD video on my tiny Canon IXUS 100is and upload it to YouTube. We made a pass by Sarie Marais number 86 in one of them.

Hello Ru88ell

Well done on the U tube videos. I think it is a first on this forum. :)

I also have taken a few videos of my Cape Cutter sailing on Kielder Water (also with a Canon Ixus), but have never had the courage to upload them to U Tube. Maybe someday.

"Watercolour II" looks very smart with the double rubbing strakes. It is good to see that the Cape Cutter is still being developed.

Cheers

Dennis

Hi Everyone

Any Videos I will add them to a page on the web site under links- Cape Cutter 19 Videos with thanks to individual posters.

I did one relating to the London boat show 2006. It was an extract of a tv review.

There are also ones of "Katrina".

I found two more YouTube videos featuring a CC19 here:-

These are from Col Mike Brooke's circumnavigation, and the latter shows life aboard a Cape Cutter 19 at sea.

Looks very familier to all us CC19 sailers

I've just stumbled upon another recent YouTube film of a Cape Cutter 19, this time from the Netherlands.

Ru88ell has stirred me into action.

The following link shows Mary Ann on Kielder Water on 8th Oct 2010 crewed by Eric Graham, Roger Langford and myself (invisible, behind the camera). This is a first for me (fingers crossed):

Excellent Dennis! I've only ever motor rallied in the forests around Kielder - and that was back in the late 80's. It looks like a great place for a CC19 class rally some time.

Hi Dennis,

Well done!
Just as I remember it.
Even thought I recognised the spot we ran 'Nemo' aground, last month!!
