Inboard diesel installation

Post by Dennis »

I have just noticed the article on the association website about David Peck's inboard conversion of his cape cutter.

Here is the url:

Congratulations to David for such a brave undertaking. It really does look the business. I hope you will keep us up to date David on its progress and ultimate performance.

Well done

Dennis,

Thanks for your interest in the Inboard diesel engine project. I will certainly keep you all up to date with the progress and subsequent sea trials. There will also be another innovation under trial at the same time (of which more later).

If there is enough interest, its my intention on completion, to write up a full article covering the project including the choice of engine and component selection and design criteria.

Regards

Inboard Diesel Engine

Post by David Peck »

For anyone interested, I have added a few photos of my completed inboard diesel engine installation to the albums. I still intend to complete the article under the same topic in the "Articles" section.

Wow!

That looks impressive.

Looks like you have achieved good engine access, very difficult in a small boat, and a very neat cockpit.

I am envious.
