New Forum
Hi all,
this is just a test post.
I can't find a way to add an attachment. According to the FAQ this may be, because the admin hasn't allowed me to do so.

Re: New Forum
I think I have sorted the permissions problem.
"CC19 Association Members" and "Non Association Members" should now be able to upload attachments.
There should be an "Upload Attachments" tab below the text entry box when posting.
I have not yet installed the thumbnail generator, therefore images will appear full size in the post.
Let me know if you have any problems.

Re: New Forum
I would prefer 800x600 pixels.
I have given this restriction in the Admin Control Panel.
However, the restriction does not seem to work. Consequently it seems to be possible to upload any size, this could be a problem if a lot of large attachments were uploaded, we would quickly exceed our 1 Gbyte quota on the host server.
I think the restriction is not working because we are using GD rather than Imagemagick. I have asked the hosts for access to Imagemagick. We will see.
I am in the process now of uploading the Gallery software to the host server. Fingers crossed.

Re: New Forum
Hello all
I have installed Coppermine Photo Gallery onto the website and linked it to this forum.
To access it simply click on the logo at the top right of this page "Click here for Picture Gallery".
This will take you to the picture gallery home page.
To return to the forum simply click on the "return to forum" button.
You can generate your own albums and upload photos.
I am in the process of converting the approx 600 photos off the old forum into the correct format. I will then upload them into an album called "Photos imported from old forum". I will then recreate the old albums and move the relevant photos into them. Finally I will add the individual descriptions/captions to each photo.
Unfortunately, I do not have a way of doing this as a batch, most of the above has to be done on a individual basis.
I may be a while!
Non of the above prevents any members from generating additional albums and uploading photos before I have completed my task(s)

Re: New Forum
Job done.
I have also added a counter to the foot of the forum index page.
This will tell us how many and which users have been on line over the last 60 days.
It is currently displaying 1 (i.e. me) but in fact there have been 43 different users over the last 60 days. The counter must not be able to apply retrospective statistics, and is starting with a blank sheet.
Maybe now I can get on with preparing Mary Ann for the coming season.

Re: New Forum
Very well done, Dennis. I'll stand you a pint or two at Leaplish
Not long to wait now, eh?
I've still have to gloss the mast's top section and then all my spars are done. Only rubbing strakes and the grab rails to do - though they may have to wait a while for a nice, warm spring day so the varnish dries quickly.
