The number of "active" users is 41 today. Much better than when this thread started.

In case anyone is wondering, an "active" user is one who has logged in during the last 60 days.

The stats report 43 "active" users.
However there are lies damned lies and stats.

Two of the reported users: "Admin" and "CC19 Member" are virtual users only.
I have to login as "Admin" to carry out administrative tasks on the website and "CC19 Member" is a test account I use to test the access rights etc of an "ordinary" member.

However, "Zimp" has been on the site in the last 60 days, yet mysteriously does not show in the stats.

Still, it is a record, 43-2+1=42 real active users.

Even when you are permanently logged in on your iPad, the system correctly registers you each time you access and leave the website.
Your name appears in the list of recent users at the foot of the home page. As the list is in the order of most recent first, your own name will always appear (to you) at the head of the list as you will have been the last person to access the site.
Conversely, when I access the site my name is always at the head of the list, whereas your name will be someway down the list depending on how many other users have been logged in and accessed the site since your last visit.

Being permanently logged in on your computer/tablet/smartphone makes no difference, it is only when you actually access the site that you are logged.
