Honnor Marine Camping Tent

Hi,

has anyone seen the Honnor Marine camping tent or knows who has it in use?
Looks it like Simon`s boom tent or is it different.
I`ve asked Norma to send photos but up to now no answer.

Following up on this thread- I would like a boom tent. Do many have one?
Simon- yours looks really useful: did you make it or get it from Honnor?

The camping tent revolutionises the boat as it adds so much more room to the accommodation.

I had mine made by CJ Marine in Chichester harbour. It was not cheap!

I cannot remember whether HM took measurements off it. Best to speak to Bob at HM.

I think Bob helped me to fit it as there are clips that require to be fitted on the underside of the gunwale rail.

Always looking for innovation, I found a cockpit tent produced by Gaastra
who used to make sails for me in the days of the windsurfing circuit.

I've posted pic's in the photo section, taken during a typical Lakeland shower.

It consists of two inflatable supporting tubes, rather like the igloo tents of the
'60's and '70's. The fabric is a lightweight ripstop designed for mountaineering.
There is increased useable space compared with a traditional tent because of the
tunnel configuration. The whole structure is very light and packs down to nothing.

Just blow and there it is. Ideal for the Cutter.

Oh by the way, I have imported a "sun awning" from Shadetree in the USA for
Granny's yacht and my igloo needs a good home!
