Chichester Harbour - mid/late August

Post by Ru88ell »

There are ongoing discussions with between Chichester and Midlands based members to meet up for a weekend. There are currently 5 in the frame, but more would make it even better. Please post below if you think you could make such an event.

Launching at Northney is excellent for those travelling - short distance from the motorway and a great ramp with pontoon alongside.

Fingers crossed!

I would love to join in such an event, but I dont think I have any free weekends in August. If something were to happen in September, I would be up for that.

Second your comments on Northney, Russell- easy launch, good facilities, nice sailing.

This is now looking like a goer. Saturday / Sunday 1st/2nd September in Chichester Harbour. Four boats saying its possible. Anyone else? Don't be shy.

I'm going to make it a 4 day weekend to make the travel worthwhile. Launching at Northney.

We are up for this- will be sailing from Emsworth on the Saturday morning to come and meet you wherever you have got to. I know "Moth" is keen too. Great initiative Russell- thanks for leading the charge

Just to keep you in the loop on this, I've just got out of hospital having been taken in on Thursday with chest pains. I've had an angiogram and may need angioplasty in a few weeks time. All seems to be under control, but I need to have a think about what I can/should do.

As an active cyclist and swimmer my fitness is pretty good. It confused the docs that my BP is around 125/80 and HR 53 - yet I'm presenting with angina. My drugs seem to have it under control.

Sorry to hear about your problems Russell.

I hope everything turns out OK.

On the plus side, sailing a Capecutter can be very relaxing and stress free.:)
Cheers

Just to confirm, this event is off. I'm not able to go, and it turns out that it clashes with a club event.
