Rig Tension

Post by Pugwash »

Dear All

As I am putting Robyn back together to sail I thought I would ask about rig tension.

The chandlery has a Loos Guage for hire @£5 so I thought I would have a bash.

Any thoughts out there as to settings?

Thanks Simon

My understanding is don't overdo the rig tension. I just set the shrouds and forestay so they are not floppy and with just slight tension. The forestay will then go a bit loose by the time the genoa halyard is tensioned. Again not to be overdone in my opinion... But what do the racers do? I've no idea.
