2015 International Cape Cutter Week 23rd-31st May 2015

Following a successful inaugural event this summer, the Cape Cutter 19 Association is pleased to announce the 2015 event, to be held on the River Orwell over Whitsun week, from Saturday 23rd to Sunday 31st May.

The fleet will base itself at Suffolk Yacht Harbour on the River Orwell, from which there is easy access to the superb sailing areas of the Orwell, Deben and Stour rivers, along with the Walton backwaters.

The area offers excellent motorway and ferry links, a number of good marinas, but most of all, excellent cruising ground for our boats in a range of possible weather conditions. The pattern will be similar to the 2014 event, based at a marina with suitable launching facilities, with the expectation of making both day sails and overnight trips, depending on the weather.

Cape Cutter 19 owners enjoyed a fabulous week in Cornwall this summer, with owners travelling from as far afield as Northumberland. We really hope to see more boats attend in 2015, and with just a handful of miles to drive from the ferry port at Harwich it would be lovely to welcome some of our friends from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
