2025 September Solent Jolly

Postby Ian Clark » Mon Jan 27, 2025 9:49 pm

Hi Chaps,
I realise this year has a number of events already but it is relatively easy for me to offer a Solent sailing jolly this September.
I live close to the Solent and will be sailing the area anyway.
If a small group was interested in letting me know of any dates of interest within the two weeks from 10th to 24th then I could provide arrangements for the favoured week. The week can flex but it’s best to launch on Monday through Wednesday, Thursday at a push. Can be a bit busy on Friday to Sunday.

Jolly Brief Outline
Launch and recover at Northney Marina.
Marina stops overnight.
Some lunches at anchor.
Route totally weather dependent but sailing available in almost all conditions.
Key places are the most probable, Other places may suit conditions at the time.
Some special evening meals can be arranged if there’s interest.

Key Overnight Jollies
Portsmouth
Cowes
Beaulieu
Lymington
Key Jolly Anchorages
Osborne Bay
Newtown Creek
Other Jolly Overnight Stops
Bembridge
Yarmouth
Other Jolly Anchorages
East head
Priory Bay
Totland Bay

Launch & recover including trailer storage and car parking for a week £35, but there are harbour dues of £18 on top of that for Chichester Harbour.
I usually pay around £35 a night at marinas and shower facilities are excellent to good.
Further details & costs can be determined later having discovered the level of interest.
Any Solent based skippers are very welcome to pool resources & knowledge.
Happy sailing,
Ian Clark, Miss Molly
