West Coast of Scotland

Post by Adrian Langford »

We're planning a cruise from Oban area at the end of June into early July 2015 and wondered if anyone else would fancy meeting up at some point?

Kind regards,

Hello Adrian, Roger -

Randi and I are going to be in Argyll with Foxglove (56) for the last three weeks of June and the first week of July. Not sure where the weather and our mood will take us during that time, but Foxglove lives there year-round - ashore, apart from when we're there on holiday - and our cruising grounds include Jura, Islay, Colonsay and, so far, The Ross of Mull. Maybe further during this coming summer. We live shore-based at Tayvallich, typically taking trips from one to 3 or 4 days, but we are fairly new to Foxglove having come from Wayfarer cruising and having owned her for less than a year, so are still literally learning the ropes.

What about making contact again at the end of May to see which way the wind blows .... ?

We stayed in Tayvallich last year with Falcon at Smithy Cottage. A stunningly beautiful place - unfortunately we missed the decent weather so didn't get as far as we wanted to :(
