October PBO

Post by Ru88ell »

There's a nice write up about the CC19 in the current issue of PBO (Oct 2014).

It features interviews with Charles Erb, Dennis Ogle and Chris Wicks.

Southampton Show

Post by Julian Fisher »

I've had an email from Norma Brown... "Our CC 19 stole the show and with the October PBO article on the Cape Cutter 19 everyone wanted one". So well done the interviewees. It wasn't the boat that they are building for me, incidentally, I'm still waiting for the deck to be bonded to the hull although I have told Bob that I'm in no great hurry. Maybe they will have to speed up now with all the new orders.

I thought I was paraphrased well enough ;) nice to have a name check.
Let's hope all these new boats will be ready to join us on the Orwell next Whitsun :)

Hello Julian

Has Bob given you a hull number yet?
What colour have you opted for, hull and sails?
You may have guessed that I am just fishing for information for the owners register.;)
I am not so sure that telling Bob your in no hurry is a good idea, or you may not get it in time for the Orwell next year.
Cheers

Hi Dennis,

Bob tells me that the hull number will be 126. I've opted for the standard blue hull and (after looking at the colour combinations at Mylor) I've decided on brown sails.
I'm hoping that Bob will have so many new orders that he will need to get mine finished pretty quickly. We shall see.

Thanks Julian

Let me know when you have decided on a name, and what information you want included in the "Location" column, and of course when it is completed.
Cheers

Hi Dennis,

I've decided on a name - 'Salty Dog' (I'm a fan of blues music ). Haven't finally decided but, for the first season Conway marina looks the most likely as it's closest to home and a good sailing area. As to when it's completed ....

Hello Julian

Conwy marina sounds great to me. I consider the Conwy estuary to be one of the most spectacular in the British Isles.

I am a frequent visitor to the area ( well at least once a year) and often imagine keeping my CC19 there. We regularly take our caravan to a site in the Conwy valley just 4 miles north of Conwy.

If you do (eventually) berth there, I will let you know when I am next going to be in the area, and we may be able to meet again.
Cheers

Dennis

The OGA hold a festival there too, which sounds like fun. Maybe we could get posse of CC's there?
