The distortion is caused by the lens being such a wide angle. Good for fitting in a lot of boat from close up, but as you say, it does cause quite a lot of distortion. I am looking at ways of correcting it for some sequences

Hi,
added a video about our last holyday at the Baltic Coast close to RĂ¼gen.
The estuary is sheltered from the Baltic it selves by the island Usedom and offers many small harbors especially for boats with little drought.
Highly recommendable for boats like ours.

Hello Frank
I enjoyed that. Good video.
Looks like a super sailing area for a CC19.

A welcome dose of Summer, Frank. Looking forward to our next sail, now. Loved the shot through the sunroof of your car! I used the same source for music for my video of the Old Gaffers event.
Thanks for posting.

Hello again Frank
I noticed that you have fitted roller furling to your staysail.
How do you you find the sailing performance compared with the hank on sail you originally used?
I am still undecided whether to change to roller furling on Mary Ann.

Hi Dennis
I can`t say that the sailing performance is remarkable lower than before but I assume it has an impact as it is more difficult to tighten the yankee and the staysail luff. If you tighten the staysail you`ll get lose in the yankee luff and other way round. This is the only disadvantage of this constellation but the benefit is an essential increase of safety and handling as you can set and drop the staysail from cockpit and you ever have a tidy forecastel if you would like to anchor or something else.
On the whole I can recommend this solution.
Kind regards
Frank

Furling Staysails
Hi Dennis and Frank,
I have posted a reply under "Hull Rigging and sails" - Furling staysails - in case the thread expands.
