I'm on day three of a week long cruise around the rivers on the East Coast. I have to say that the revelation so far has to be the success of my stove unit prototype. I've taken some pictures but can't upload them from my iPad, so I've written about it on my blog this morning.

Your stove arrangement looks good.
It is giving me food for thought!
I already have other mods involving plywood lined up for this winter, I will have a good head scratch next time I am on Mary Ann. (I am currently in Spain having to endure cloudless blue skies and temps in the range 24-29C, but no wind, so the boat wouldn't be much use anyway:()

One thing which needs sorting is shelving for the cupboard units. I think they need the floor levelling off at the very least. The current 'huge void' design is a waste of space.

I agree with this.
How about a loose shelf just below the level of the door opening, but which can be lifted to access the void which will be formed below it.
This will allow that space to still be utilised to stow items which have to be carried but which are rarely (or never) needed.

Having installed a larger basin with waste in the port storage unit, I installed a flexible container in the void: ten litres is all that should be required.
Brown people discharge their waste overboard, don't you know?
In the starboard storage: a rejig would certainly give extra space.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It will probably need to be in a couple of pieces to get it in, unless it will go via the front locker.
After 5 days on board I'm certain that the stove unit is a winner. I need to design in some vertical cutlery storage in the rear section though. The Cookmate has also proven to be excellent. I've cooked two meals per day with ease.

Further to the comments made about the wasted space in the lower lockers, I shaped some plywood yesterday and should get this done today.
There will be a flat floor; it won't have access underneath as I don't think I'm going to be that desperate for space. This will span from the inner lap groove to a batten stuck on below the door. There will be another almost identical sized piece sitting on the next lap and supported again by battens glued to the cupboard inner cheeks. This upper area was previously a huge unusable void. A 1.5 inch upstand should retain the items.
