thanks for the link to the lifting eye. I am not sure which M6 screw you applied, would it be possible to give me a link for that as well?
How did you remove the old swivel from the plate?

Hello Michel
SS screws are available from the same site as the Lifting Eye Nut. But they are quite expensive, £16 for a pack of 50.
As virtually all my sailing is done on fresh water I am happy to use A2 Stainless Steel for fixings. Here is a link:

I cut the screw to length before fixing.
To remove the old swivel off the plate was easy. I simply held the plate in a vise and filed the head off the rivet.
