She'll spend a few days with the shipping agents before boarding a container ship bound for Melbourne, Australia, reaching there before the end of May. I wonder how many other CC19s can claim to have travelled from South Africa to the UK, and then to the other side of the globe. I wish I was going with her She's been bought by John Ingham of Homewood, Victoria. I'm sure he'll be along shortly to tell us his plans for her and I'm confident that he'll get a warm welcome from the CC19A members.
It's been an interesting and very enjoyable few weeks being involved in the planning since John's first contact with me in answer to my ad. on Apollo Duck. I know he's intending visiting the UK on holiday later this year and we hope to meet up for a pint or two and perhaps a sail on Kielder Water. Things like this do seem to confirm what a small planet we live on, and what a wondrous thing is the internet.
My driveway seems an awful lot bigger now and the Lune Whammel looks all forlorn and lonely
