Hello Frank.

Nice video.:)

Your method is virtually identical to what I do. Except that I usually (although not always) have the boat on the trailer when de-rigging.

Do you tighten your bowsprit shrouds before lowering the mast?
Cheers

Dennis

Hi Dennis,

No I don`t tighten again the bowsprit shrouds after I`ve lifted it to the position I use for mast lowering. They ars still attached and have a little loose.

I wish you and Jen and all from CC forum a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Regards,

Frank

A bout of man flu kept me awake until 04:30, so I used the time to finally pull together the video of my trip to the Firth of Clyde. Enjoy!

Hello Russell

Excellent video.

You are turning into the Dylan Winter of the capecutter world :D.

I remember that week, gale force winds along the south coast, particularly bad in the SW. You made the right decision.

I must make the effort to get up there!

On a different matter, I have been playing around with Flickr, here is a set of photos of (mainly) Mary Ann on Kielder Water. It runs nicely as a slide show.

Crossing Tremadog Bay over Easter in the bitterly cold easterlies. Wind speeds up to F6. Boat speeds up to 7.2kts SOG.
