Hi,
I got problems with uploading pictures to my Album.
"Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image" is the message.
My files are less then 1 Mb. What am I doing wrong?

Hello Jorgen

You are not doing anything wrong.

There is a problem that I am aware of, but have not yet been able to solve.

I suspect that our web host company have changed something which is preventing the thumbnails being created.

As a temporary measure until I have sorted things out, you can upload any pictures as attachments to posts.
Cheers

Hello all

The forum Picture Gallery is valuable (and underused) resource.

However the eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that member Chris Imray has just posted a super album. Lots of good shots in a variety of locations.

Thanks and well done Chris. :)
Cheers

Hello,
My photos from the Picture Gallery can now be find on the web.
Is that okey? Something I missed? The idea is well that only members can see them?

Hello Jörgen

Your picture gallery can be seen by "guests" in thumbnail form only.
If a guest clicks on one of the thumbnails he is taken directly to the login screen.
When a "Non Association Member" clicks on a thumbnail, a medium sized image of the photo appears.
When a "CC19 Association Member" clicks on a thumbnail, a full sized image of the photo appears.

If you do not want guests to be able to see the thumbnails, let me know and I will investigate how to achieve that.

I must congratulate you on the quality of build of your boat, you must be very proud.
I look forward to hearing about how the many innovations you have incorporated perform.
Cheers

Dennis

Hello Jörgen

I have Investigated how you can control who sees your gallery.
Here is what you have to do:

1. Enter the picture gallery (Left click on icon "Click here for Picture Gallery")

2. Choose "My Gallery" in the header bar.

3. Click on "Properties" for the gallery you want edit.

4. Click on "Permissions for this Album"

5. Choose "Members of the 'Cape Cutter 19 Association Member' group"

This should allow only full CC19 Association members access to your album.
Cheers

Re: Forum Picture Gallery

I have discovered that since the last Windows 11 update (June 2024), when a logged in user enters the Picture Gallery the login is lost. This effectively has disabled the Picture Gallery. Also, it is preventing my (Windows 11) computer from keeping me logged in to the forum between sessions.

The forum and Picture Gallery software has not changed, this is due to something Microsoft has done to Windows 11.

I also run a virtual Windows 7 computer (on my Windows 11 computer) and everything runs as it should on that.

I will try and find a solution to the problem. :(

PS Everything works correctly on my phone (Android 14)
Cheers
