Nore Race

CC19 owners are invited to participate in this year's Nore Race that takes place in the Thames Estuary on Saturday 18th July. The race is organised by the Benfleet Yacht Club, of which I'm a member, and they have offered the use of their slipway (said to be one the largest and best on the East Coast) plus Club facilities to any CC19 owners wishing to enter. The race is one of the largest on the East Coast and attracts around 200 entrants of all sailing classes. If we can get 6 entries we could have our own class and cup! The race is shorter than the RTIR (about 20 miles) and takes place in more sheltered waters. See http://www.benfleetyachtclub.org for details.

It could be an opportunity for anyone wishing to stay on for a few days to explore the areas of the Swale, Medway or even cruise up to London's St Katherine’s Dock.
