2025 Rally (Morbihan)

There’s a growing number of skippers making plans to take their boats to join the Semaine de Golfe 2025 in Brittany. This looks like front runner for being the official “Association Rally“ for Spring 2025, although there may be other events arranged for folk who are not able to commit the time or resources to get their boats to Southern Brittany.

David Peck has kindly prepared an excellent paper describing the Semaine de Golfe, which I hope is uploaded with this post. And there is a lot of information is being exchanged on the WhatsApp group – Cape Cuttings 2024/5. I encourage members interested in joining a rally in Brittany to join that WhatsApp group and also a specific group which will soon be set up for Cape Cutters bound for the event.

Sadly, due to possible commitments at home in Oxford at that time, I will not be able to make the long range booking needed for Brittany. If events turn out that I can sail for a week at the end of May, I’ll be advertising to see if other skippers are interested in sailing in company.

I have just read that 2025 Rally will be the Semaine du Golfe.
There are already 8 boats registered:
Bella, Elektra, Fraoch, Iris, Peggy, Stardust, Whistling Rufus and One Toe Too.
We all are in Flotilla I (ex-7bis).

I confirm the paper written by David is very good and exhaustive.

I will be located from mid-April to end October at Port du Crouesty, Arzon.

How can I join the dedicated WhatsApp groups? I will be very happy to provide what help I can and meet more CC19 owners.

David Peck will be setting up the specific Golfe de Morbihan WhatsApp Group - he has delayed doing this so as to catch as many people as may be interested via the wider Cape Cuttings group and, now, this Forum thread and the website.
