Varnish

Hi All

Have we a favourite varnish or oil to refresh the wood work on our beloved boats?

Hi Lee,

there was a thread on that, though it is a couple of years old now so there might be some updates...

Hi Lee

I bought my boat refurbished from Bob the Builder. He was using Jotun Ravilakk at the time and so I have continued using it and like the colour, finish and durability. I also find it best applied using foam brushes. I get is from SML Marine Paints online as by pure chance I once noticed that the shelf life of the first tin from them was a year longer than the one sitting on the shelf at Force 4 ! but I guess that was just a stock turnover thing.

Happy sanding
