94 viewsThe component parts of the repair kit. The repair plates for kaliope had cut outs to fit around the top rudder pintle mounting. On Ladybird this mounting must be lower thus allowing a larger repair plate.Feb 11, 2015

88 viewsPositioning prior to Sikkaflex and bolting together. These plates were made by a stainless steel fabricator in Volos Greece. He took the sketches and had the rudder in his workshop to make sure it all worked out OK. He also drilled the rudder for the new plates. Cost of S/S work in total €120. Pretty good value I think.Feb 11, 2015

76 viewsPotential VHF and nav light deck socket position. Cables to be run along conduit inside coach roof into stbd cupboard void. Sockets could foul ropes?

This is what we opted for in the end. Hasn't fouled any ropes so far...

344 viewsBowsprit shroud tensioning blocks. These allow quick tensioning of the shouds when the bowsprit is raised to give maximum stability when raising or lowering the mast.

The genoa outhaul blocks have been upgraded to 35mm ballbearing variety to reduce the effort required when using them to raise the mast. (Very successfull).
