Easy hauling up with slip and centring aid

Hello everyone,
I sail my Cape Cutter (No. 89, 'Grand Hotel Trzebiez', based in Warns, NL) sometimes single-handed on a few weekends, so it is always slipped before and after the trip.
My problem was aligning the boat correctly when recovering, especially when I'm alone. With the centring aid shown in the pictures, however, it's child's play.

Thankyou so much for your post and photos. You offer a solution to one of the few drawbacks od the Cape Cutter - recovery (especially single handed)

Would you be able, please, to give the critical measurements of your modification. Those are probably:-

1. Measurement (along a line parallel to the keel) from the position of the stem of the boat when on the trailer to the centre of the vertical post bearing the vertical roller

2. Measurement from centre of trailer to centre of the vertical post.

3. Height of top and bottom of the vertical roller above top of keel rollers on trailer

4. Profile of vertical roller - brand and supplier and model number if this is a stock item

I for one will be putting your adaptation on Rondo’s trailer. The clever part seems to me to be putting the posts forward of the widest part of the hull - so they can presumably be used to hold the hull tightly with the keel on the centre line when the boat is winched tight against the stop on the winch post.

The exact position can be seen in Figure 1. The limitations come from the trailer, wheels/mudguards, lighting etc., so it depends on the specific centring aid. I initially had the "schräg" (angle) model, which finally didn't fit and then switched to the straight („gerade“) one.

I turned the roller with a lathe, but that's more or less not important.
