Cockpit cushions

Postby Ru88ell » Mon Apr 22, 2013 1:05 pm

I've been pondering this for some time. Zephyr came with full length, tailored, vinyl covered, foam ones. They were very comfortable, but once wet they stayed wet. They were also too big to get into the cabin if you have anything else down there.

Problem solved. I bought 2 x Handy Cushions from C and J Marine. £21 each.

Cheap as chips, very well made and great service. Use as the image, double up or lay out. Very flexible. And the burgundy colour matches the tan sails. ;)

Would anyone like the full length cockpit cushions which I acquired with Zephyr? They are 2" thick foam covered with tan vinyl, and shaped to fit the cockpit. The covers have a full length zip.

I don't use them as they take up too much space in the cabin, but if you only day sail and don't use the cabin they could be useful. My wife reports that they are very comfortable for sunbathing - consequently they are very lightly used.
