Wind break

My mooring is quite exposed to the wind. I didn’t really want to go to the expense of a spray hood just to use it on the mooring and wondered if anyone has used some kind of wind break / deflector on the deck?

Hi Julian
I made a boom tent which attaches to small hooks I fitted to the underside of the strakes. Works ok but doesn’t give as good protection as a sprayhood and a couple of times came loose.

If the purpose is to keep out rain from the hatch / companion way could you have a canvas sheet made up that clips to the coach roof hand rails and sits on the deck protecting the vulnerable areas? Luckily it doesn't rain here much
