Cape Cutter 19 Association Forum

Iain has recently joined the forum as he's planning on acquiring a CC19 soon.

I'm sure he'll be along soon to tell us more about his plans.

We have two new owners on the forum. FrankvB is in the Netherlands and has acquired Sanuk #69, and MickMitch who has acquired Escapade #68 to sail in the Lake District.

New member "Runrig" (Paul) has just aquired hull No. #111 and is to rename it "Fraoch".

I am sure Paul will be along soon to tell us his plans.

At the end of last week we went to Rochdale to look at two boats Bob's got in on brokerage for refurbishing, and we have agreed the purchase of hull no. 56, Foxglove. That's Bob's first production CC19 I believe, and he's going to give her a make-over with quite a lot of new and replacement stuff. She should look splendid, and we are very pleased and not a little excited.

Hoping to be able to trail her away before Easter, and the plan is to keep her in Argyll.

Suddenly seems that there are a few new and prospective new owners of CC 19s.
I have been looking for a trailable boat for coastal sailing for a couple of years and have looked at Shrimpers and Norfolk Gypsies before deciding that a Cape Cutter best fitted the bill.
I am looking forward to next summer and hope to get some sails 'in company' with other CC owners to help learn the ropes.
I especially like the sound of the 'International Week' planned for May. Perhaps a few other newbies will be able to make it if it goes ahead.
I will respond on that thread and see how it goes.

Welcome Paul. Charles and myself are only in Stourbridge, so if you need to know anything just shout. I'm pleased to hear you're up for travelling, but then you've little choice living in Bewdley; Trimpley is a little too small.

Since I'm now based in the South West for sailing, we have thought of running the International Week in Falmouth. It's one of the best places to sail in the UK.

Well I grew up near Chaddesley Corbett, so there must be something in the water! I collected my boat on Thursday and no 56 was quite stripped down and being worked on. I may have a photo, but my laptop went to the menders on Friday so I won't update the blog for a few days. There was another one almost finished behind mine and Bob says he has 4 orders for next year. All good to know.
