For general discussion about the Cape Cutter 19

Welcome to Andrew Morkel

Postby Dennis » Sat Nov 08, 2014 5:53 pm

Andrew and his wife and I are novice sailors, who constructed a Dix Yachts Argie 15 dinghy, and are learning to sail in her.

They have ambitions to self build a CC19 in the future.

Welcome aboard. :)
Cheers

Dennis

Hello, folks.
Checking the accounts tonight I see that we have three new members who have paid their subs into the CC19A account. I know that one of those payments is from Tony and Helen Adams - thanks very much and welcome aboard - but the other two were paid directly into a branch I'm told, and there are no details recorded by NatWest that they can get to online
So, if you are one of the other two new members who paid between 26/9/14 and 31/10/14, please drop me a pm. Otherwise I'll have to wait until the paper statement arrives and see if that helps. What a crazy modern world eh?

Steve

Just found out that one is Gary Oldfield - thanks Gary. I missed you at Kielder whilst I was up there last time. I'll catch up with you at some point no doubt ;)

Welcome to new member David Farquhar.

David is an old hand at Cape Cutter sailing. He has owned hull number 11 "Pipistrelle" for 10 years and is now on his second circumnavigation of the UK in her. He expects to pass the 4000 Nm mark in her this year. :)

Welcome to new member Bernard Moore

Postby Dennis » Wed Apr 08, 2015 5:43 pm

Bernard is based in Ireland and is interested in buying a CC19.
He is hoping to be able to meet one/some of the Irish boats/owners to glean information before he travels over the pond to pay a visit to Honnor Marine.

If you are going to travel to England Bernard, why not make it on the 23rd to 30th May. I can guarantee much Capecuttering on the river Orwell, there are going to be more Capecutters than you can shake a stick at. :D
Cheers

Richard has bought hull number 51 "Gallinago" recently refurbished by Honnor Marine. He has her based at Thurstaston on the Wirral (Dee Sailing Club).
Richard is an experienced dinghy sailor and is excited at the prospect of getting to grips with his Capecutter.

We look forward to hearing about his exploits.
