Kaliope has been based in Greece since 2006. She always arouses interest and great comments. Now we are joined by Maya II. If anyone is interested in coming out to join our (very) small Cape Cutter 19 fleet based around the Gulf of Volos, or the Northern Sporades (Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos) we are happy to help.

Here is the track between Kaliope's two moorings. The open harbour at Platania in the straits of Trikeri (Aegean) and the sheltered bay of Valtoudi in the Gulf of Volos. https://www.wikiloc.com/sailing-trails/ ... aign=badge

You could base a boat here for a season or two? No mooring fees, just pick a spot and lay a mooring. The Pelion peninsula is amazing for its nature, traditional villages, skiing in winter, hiking the paths. Drive overland from Calais in 4 days or via ferry from Italy.
Best wishes
