Two young Cape Cutter sailors, Aimee Erb (12) and Alice Erb (8) were recently awarded the “Grumpy II” cup at the AGM of the Old Gaffer’s Association, held at Greenwich Yacht club in London. The award was a complete surprise for the girls, who were so proud to receive the cup. The award was nominated by Sue Farrer, one of the organisers of the Traditional Boat Festival, held each year in Holyhead, North Wales. Sue was particularly impressed to see Aimee helming Cape Cutter 19 number 86 “Aurora”, during the weekend of that event.
